About the conference
Who can participate in the conference?
There are no specific conditions or conditioned access. All are welcome! 🙂
Can I attend the conference for free?
No, you always have to buy your ticket and complete your registration.
What is the conference duration?
The event will last for 4 days, from May 5th to 8th 2022
Where will the conference take place?
The main conference venue will be located in the Ordem dos Engenheiros National Headquarters: Av. António Augusto de Aguiar, 3D, 1069-030 Lisboa, Portugal.
However, depending on COVID-19 restrictions, venue alterations may take place. Participants will be notified on time in this event.
Is there a conference app I can download?
No, there will not be any app. The complete event information is available in the event website. For any help, during the conference you can go to Welcome Desk.
Will this be a Digital conference?
No, the complete event will take place in Lisbon and there won’t be live recording feeds.
We are really looking for to meet you in person, if you’re up for it!
Will I get an event certificate of attendance?
Yes, the certificate of attendance will be sent to your e-mail during the week following the event.
Registration & Payments
How can I register for the Conference?
You can register at the event website, by filling out the form following the “GET YOUR TICKETS” button.
To benefit from the special rates applied to members, you should send a copy of the membership card from your associations. Without these elements the registration may not be accepted.
What is the deadline for my registration?
The deadline is April 29th
How can I pay the conference ticket?
The accepted forms of payment are: bank transfer, MasterCard and VISA.
If you pay by bank tranfer, please take the following into consideration:
- Participants are responsible for potential direct bank transfer costs.
- Participants should complete their bank transfer within 7 working days of the registration.
- Use your Order ID as the payment reference.
- Please send the copy of bank transfer to .
- Your registration will be confirmed after payment and copy of bank transfer are received by Ordem dos Engenheiros.
Are there any special discounts or conditions?
EYE Association Members have a special price, you can confirm the details in the Tickets page.
To benefit from the special rates applied to members, you must also send a copy of the membership card from your associations. Without these elements the registration won´t be accepted.
By buying a 10 Ticket Pack you can also get a direct discount price.
What is included in the price of the conference?
The Registration Fee Includes:
- Conference Entry – full participation in all sessions and activities (panels, workshops, debates, technical visit)
- Conference bag
- Welcome cocktail
- 2 Lunches
- 3 Coffee breaks
- Gala Dinner
- Certificate of participation
Not included: Hotel, Transfers, Cultural Activity and personal expenses
I have bought a conference ticket. Do I need to pay any extras to participate in the Gala Dinner?
No, yourregistration fees already include the Gala Dinner attendance.
I have bought a conference ticket for myself already. Can I get a plus-one?
Yes, there is the option to acquire a plus-one ticket including the Gala Dinner and the Social Program.
If your plus-ones intends to partake on other conference activities, you should consider getting another EYE/OE Member or a Non-Member ticket.
Will I receive confirmation of my registration?
Yes, you will receive an email with the confirmation of your registration.
Do I need to bring my registration confirmation to the conference?
Yes, you should have available the Email Registration Confirmation and the Proof of Payment.
What is your refund policy? What happens in the case of a cancelled event?

Miscellaneous
How can I book my hotel?
We have been working for you and found some hotel options with good deals – you can find them here.
However, if you prefer, you can always look for your own hotel, hostel, airbnb or friend’s house. It´s up to you!
Note: Portuguese are usually very welcoming people; maybe someone can lend you their couch for a couple of nights, no?
How can I move in Lisbon during the conference? Are there any organized shuttles?

What are the procedures regarding COVID-19 in Portugal?
What are the procedures regarding COVID-19 in the conference?
Attendees will be required to present either proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hours of the event.
During the event, the Conference Staff will be able to help you and inform you about the procedures in loco.
The event Organization will comply with any updates regarding local government rules about COVID-19.
