Dear EYE family and beyond,
In a few months, our first physical EYE conference after more than two years will take place in Lisbon. The pandemic has kept us apart for too long and has interrupted our 27 years-long tradition of regular conferences. But finally, this will have an end! I cannot wait to meet you in person and want to welcome you and your friends to join this conference and our family of 500,000 young engineers across Europe!
Ever since EYE was established in 1994, its conferences were a core element to provide a platform for intercultural and interdisciplinary exchange of young engineers across Europe. In contrast to common national engineering conferences, young people will not only get to know innovative technologies and solutions, but they will learn to view problems from the glasses of the local engineers and immerse in a new form of cultural experience.

Dear Young Engineers across the Europe,
I am delighted to invite you to the long-waited return of EYE’s face-to-face conferences.
The EYE@Lisbon2022 conference will bring the most important topics that challenge our generation, such as technological development, mobility, sustainable energy, and, most importantly, the positive contribution of engineering on these topics.
This event will be organized in a way that every participant can both be able to contribute to technical discussions and have a social experience. Several discussion sessions and workshops will occur parallel to the thematic panels so everyone can choose what fits them better.
You can also expect technical visits to diverse industries and chose from different cultural activities that we selected. And let’s not forget about the gala dinner in Lisbon.
We sincerelly hope to provide you with the chance to mingle with Portuguese Culture, our habits and to enjoy the magnificent beauty of Lisbon. We’re looking forward to welcoming you to our country and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

The EYE Conferences
Held twice a year, in different parts of Europe, and hosted by EYE member associations, EYE Conferences give the community the chance to network, develop and learn whilst exploring new countries.
Our conferences typically include a mix of technical talks, panel discussions, soft skill workshops, technical visits and social events, including our famous gala dinner!
Lisbon and the River Tagus have been in a loving embrace ever since the city was founded.
It was the city’s privileged location as a “garden at the sea’s edge” that created Portugal’s first links to the outside world.
Being the second oldest capital of Europe, every corner, every alley, every little stone in the ground certainlly has some story to tell about Lisbon and its many peoples.
